Advancing Cervical Cancer Elimination

AlphaMed’s history of elevating timely, evidence-based research has shaped how cancer care is discussed and delivered across the globe. Today, we are building on that legacy by turning our attention to one of the most urgent and solvable challenges in women’s health: the elimination of cervical cancer. 

Cervical cancer is a preventable disease that disproportionately affects women in low-resource settings, and AlphaMed is actively exploring ways to support innovative approaches like HPV self-screening that could expand access to early detection, particularly in communities historically left behind. Our efforts align with the World Health Organization’s 90-70-90 targets to eliminate cervical cancer as a public health problem through widespread vaccination, screening, and treatment. 

As part of this commitment, AlphaMed is working in collaboration with the Society for Translational Oncology’s HARMONY initiative to advance cervical cancer elimination efforts both in the U.S. and globally. HARMONY is focused on expanding access to evidence-based prevention, early detection, and treatment strategies in underserved regions around the world, ensuring that the promise of progress reaches every woman, everywhere. AlphaMed’s role centers on developing and delivering educational resources for healthcare professionals and communities to support the implementation and uptake of these life-saving strategies. 

Through our unique strengths in oncology communication, stakeholder engagement, and translation of evidence-based research, AlphaMed is dedicated to supporting scalable, equitable solutions that accelerate progress toward cervical cancer elimination and helping to build a future where this disease is no longer a public health issue.
